Judge Mervyn King – Chairman, Global Advisory Board, International Institute of Governance & Leadership (IIGL)

Prof. King is the current chairman of International Integrated Reporting Council (The IIRC), UK, and is best known as the Chairman of the King Committee I,II and III on Corporate Governance. After the Enron and WorldCom debacles King II was liberally quoted in the US Congress and certain aspects of it were adopted by the New York Stock Exchange and incorporated into the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. He was appointed Chairman of the United Nations Committee on Governance and Oversight which produced a governance code for the United Nations in 2006.

Roberto-De-Ocampo

Mr. Roberto F. De Ocampo, Co-founder & Director, International Institute of Governance & Leadership (IIGL)

Roberto is the former President – Asian Institute of Management, Manila, Philippines. He is also current board member of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Amsterdam. As Secretary of Finance (1992-1998) during the presidency of Fidel V. Ramos, he was widely recognized as the principal architect of the resurgence of the Philippine economy. In 1995, he was named “Finance Minister of the Year” by Euromoney magazine — the first Filipino and first ASEAN finance minister to be so recognized. He was again chosen in 1996 by Euromoney as “Finance Minister of the Year”.In 1997, he was named “Asian Finance Minister of the Year” by Asiamoney magazine. In September 2000, he earned another distinction of being the first Filipino and first from the ASEAN to sit in the Trilateral Commission, an organization whose select membership includes distinguished leaders from the fields of business, politics, civil society, the academia, and media from the European Union, North America, and Japan.

Prof. Mahendra Chouhan, Director, International Institute of Governance & Leadership (IIGL)

Mahendra Chouhan is Professor, Author, Board Advisor on Corporate Governance, Sustainability & Integrated Reporting. He is Chairman of Fino Payment Bank in India. He is also consultant to IFC – World Bank Group in Corporate Governance area. Mahendra is also Managing Director of a successful Board Advisory company – Mahendra & Ardneham Consulting, specialising in Aligning and embeding Governance & Sustainability in the business Strategy. Advises Cos on building cohesive & high performing Boards & selection of Independent Directors. His current crusade is to help companies align Sustainable Development Goals with their Business Strategy and reap the US$ 12 trn new business opportunities being thrown up by SDGs. He is Chairman Mahendra & Young Knowledge Foundation & Vice Chairman of Global Advisory Board of, Asian Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability.

Outside India, Mahendra is Member of the Global Board of International Institute of Governance & Leadership. Member of the prestigious International Integrated Reporting Council UK and Independent Appointment Committee of GRI, Amstardam. He is MBA with Finance specialisation and has done a course for board of Directors on ‘Governing the Corporation : Global Perspectives in the Indian Context’ from Wharton Business School USA. Has 40yrs of total experience 11 yrs in MNCs & Indian Cos, 29yrs in Board Advisory, Management Education & management consulting. He was member of the prestigious & Corporate Governance committee of Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
Mahendra sits on the Boards of several companies as Independent Director from a variety of sectors like Banking, Housing Finance, Education Finance, Capital Goods, Exposition & Realty, B2B Market Place & e-commerce. In past he has been on the board of IT,Telecommunications & Pharma Companies.
Mahendra has Co-authored two International Books on Corporate Governance, one published from Singapore & other published by Institute of Directors, from London. He teaches Corporate Governance at Tilburg Law School, Netherlands, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) SJSoM, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.

Joris Voorhoeve, Director, International Institute of Governance & Leadership (IIGL)

 

Dr. Joris Voorhoeve, is a former Defence Minister of The Netherlands and a respected authority on peace-building and development. He has had a very successful stint as Member of Dutch Parliament from 1982 to 1998.

He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oxfam International.
Dr. Voohoeve is a professor of international organizations, peace, justice and security at two Dutch universities and co-chair of the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict. A Member of the Council of State, he holds a MSc in tropical agriculture and a PhD in international relations.

Teresa Fogelberg, Member of the Global board, International Institute of Governance & Leadership

 

Teresa is a member of the Global Board of International Institute of Governance & Leadership. She is a leader and innovator in sustainability, climate change, women’s empowerment, sustainable development, responsible business conduct, governance, applied research and solutions. Focus on the nexus of people and planet. Teresa is co-founder of the Global Reporting Initiative and former Dy. CEO – GRI. Former top diplomat and director climate change, research and women’s rights at the Netherlands ministries of Foreign Affairs, Development Cooperation and Environment, OECD Working Party Chair, private sector advisor of the UN Secretary General, executive and she sits on numerous sustainability, research and development boards, both public and private. In 2018 Teresa received a rare Royal Decoration for my international contribution to the Public Good: Officer in the Order of Orange Nassau. She speaks 5 languages: Dutch, Swedish, English, French, modest German.
