In recent past, world is witnessing a convergence in the interests of Government, Business and Civil Society. This convergence has brought a shift in the thinking of people. As a result, the civil societies all over the world expect a certain responsible behaviour from business leaders as well as leaders in Public life and various other Government Officers. It has been well established through several empirical researches that ‘Growth & Sustainable Development’ of societies cannot be attained by weak governance in any country. This has catapulted the issue of “Good Governance” to the ‘Centre Stage’, Globally. Governance includes two major aspects; Public Governance (PG) as well as Corporate Governance (CG). IIGL believes, there is a strong correlation between Public Governance (PG) and Corporate Governance (CG), they are like the two sides of the same coin. These two are so inextricably intertwined that one cannot be improved without the other; hence both need to be dealt simultaneously. It is with this ‘holistic approach’ in mind, IIGL is organising the‘Global Governance & Leadership Roundtable-2014’ (GGL-RT-2014).

IIGL aims to provide a platform for the leaders of vision, integrity & courage from public sector, private sector & civil society, to exchange innovative ideas & best practices through this roundtable. The GGL-RT-2014 will be a congregation of intelligentsia from across the world, a diverse group of eminent speakers and delegates. Experts will bring broader perspectives and will discuss & debate the current challenges and opportunities in the area of governance & leadership.

The IIGL will catalyse cross fertilisation of ideas and practices from across the countries and fine-tune its global agenda and strategic direction for next few years, through this roundtable. Post this roundtable, IIGL will integrate the innovative inputs provided by keynote speakers and delegates, in a comprehensive paper to be presented to UN and governments internationally. This comprehensive paper will be of great significance, in light of the shared Post-2015 agenda in which public-private partnerships will become extremely relevant.
