Assets You Can Give: There are many types of assets that can be used to fund a charitable gift to IIGL. These include:

Make a gift: You can make a gift to any of the schools under IIGL

All donations will be utilized for realising the objectives of IIGL. As a non profit independent institute and ‘Think Tank’, IIGL will champion the cause of ‘Good Governance and ‘Sustainable Development’ by undertaking cutting edge Research, Advocacy, Consulting & Training. IIGL will co-create and disseminate knowledge in areas like; Public policy and planning for strengthening democratic institutions, democratic governance and corporate governance. In addition to ethical Leadership & innovation, human rights policy, Political and Administrative reforms, election finance, presidential and gubernatorial politics, representative government, the politics of race and ethnicity, and globalization.

We are driven by the generosity of corporate and foundation partners, and friends. Their donations provide critical support to IIGL’s operating budget and are vital to our ability to attract the best Leaders and foster innovative research, encourage collaboration through multidisciplinary programs, create an environment that reinforces our vision, and continually engage our stakeholders to achieve impact in the world.

Gifts of Cash: The majority of the gifts to IIGL come in the form of cash.

Gifts of Appreciated Securities: Giving appreciated securities is a tax-wise way to support IIGL. For securities held longer than one year, you can deduct their full fair market value, regardless of what you originally paid for them. You also avoid paying capital gains tax.

Giving Gifts of Real Estate: By making a gift of real estate, you can leverage a significant asset for your benefit and IIGL’s. While supporting IIGL’s mission, you can save on taxes, increase your income, and/or reduce the burden of maintaining or selling your property. Gifts can be made with residential, commercial, or undeveloped real estate.

Types of Gifts: You can make an outright gift of either a percentage interest or an entire property.
Gifts of Personal Property: Gifts of art, collections, and other tangible property can be an effective way to provide meaningful support for IIGL.

Giving Business Interests: Giving shares in a closely held or family business can be a tax-wise way to support IIGL’s mission. Generally, IIGL will offer the stock back to your company for redemption and use the proceeds for
purposes you specify.

Gifts of Other Assets: There are many additional kinds of assets that may be used to fund a significant gift to IIGL, including

There are many reasons to make a bequest. A bequest allows you to honor a loved one, while providing critical support to the Institute through a president’s fund, or another fund underwriting research and teaching.
